When you begin to plan a party for your child, it is always good to engage them in the process. Even little ones know what they like and are able to tell you their preferences. Children have open imaginations unhindered by realities we, as adults, deal with on a daily basis.
We, at Your Enchanted Face, appreciate their young minds and expansive imaginations. As local, DFW face painters, we encourage little ones to dream! We rarely bring signs with us so that each child can tell us what they want – without limitation.** Are there some things we just can’t paint in under 4 minutes? Sure. There are some characters we have never heard of (although we try to look them up on our phones if there’s time). There are also pictures posted on the internet that took an hour or more to paint, and cannot be painted at a party with several children. Overall, though, we truly try to accommodate young minds and hearts with just what they are looking fo! Some of our best designs have come from the imaginations of children. We like to let them dream! If you are excited about letting your child’s imagination fly, give us a call! We have been servicing DFW birthday parties for 20 years! You can reach us at 214-886-4243. We look forward to talking with you!!! **For larger events, and events where time is truly short, we will bring a sign to keep the line moving. Our estimated speed is 15-20 children per hour.

When you or your child sit down to be painted there's always a conversation. What would you like to be? Do you want something big or little? EVENTUALLY, though, the conversation will go to the colors you want to use. There aren't any strict rules about color... but if you want your face to REALLY stand out, we can guide you. 1. What colors are you wearing? Matching your outfit can draw people's eyes to the whole picture and create a coordinated, creative look. I can't tell you how many times I've matched an outfit only to hear several people comment on it later. It can really be eye-catching. 2. Complimentary colors. lot of people shy away from using complimentary colors, but they have a lot of visual power! For example, I use hot UV pink with lime green. 3. Glitter. I use a lot of silver and gold glitter as well as iridescent glitter. This provides shine on top of your paint that will make it truly sparkle rather than just blend in. I find if I use pink on pink or red on red, a lot of times the glitter is lost in the paint. (Then again, I do love red lips with red glitter!) The choice is yours, and the colors you can choose are never ending! If you have a question about this or any other face painting services, feel free to call us at 214-886-4243. We look forward to speaking with you! As face painters, we attend a lot of Dallas Fort Worth events. Many times, we have people approach us with pictures on their phones and show us face painting memories they carry with them in their photo albums. We LOVE knowing that someone enjoyed their face paint so much that they have kept it on their phone for a few years. We are thrilled to see people pulling up photos from their Facebook accounts and telling us that their child has asked to be painted by "that funny lady" or "the nice woman from the festival" again. It is the best possible compliment we could get. When we see those photos, we know that we have been a part of a great memory, and there's just nothing better than that!
With this in mind, we thought we would take today to highlight a few tips to help preserve that face painting memory. One of the best things you can do is to KNOW the features on your smartphone and use them to your advantage. Here are a few of the things that our clients have done over the years to make that photo a great one:
Do you have questions about face painting or what entertainment you need to complete your party vision? We would love to talk to you! We always look forward to speaking with clients, and you can reach us at 214-886-4243. Do you have a child with a birthday right next to a holiday? The mom featured above did! She incorporated her child's birthday in Dallas with Mardi Gras fun and everyone had a good time! The theme was so fun for all of the kids! Music, stilt-walker, video and OF COURSE face painting encouraged everyone (adults and children) to join in on the activities and the fun. Over the years, we have seen parents connect birthdays with holidays like Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras, Halloween and more! These parties were structured so that the theme did not diminish the celebration of the birthday, but enhanced it! If your child has a birthday in close proximity to a fun holiday, it could be fun to add that theme to their celebration one year. Remember to involve your child with the planning and they will have a blast choosing elements for their party! If you need any assistance finding entertainment for your party, we would be happy to help you. If we don't book a specific entertainment, we can probably direct you to someone who does! After 20+ years in the industry, we have a large talent pool and a wonderful group of contacts to choose from. You can reach us at 214-886-4243. We always look forward to talking to party hosts like you! When you are planning a group event, face painting can really set your party apart and make it memorable. Whether you are working on a school project, a company Halloween bash, a team meeting with a theme or a birthday at the zoo, matching faces can be the finishing touch to a well-planned event!
Are you having a gathering where a lot of people need similar faces? Are you competing in a team Halloween competition or bringing a lot of little ones to the aquarium? We have artists that can emulate your idea, theme or team focus to create memories that solidify the information your are sharing with your party guests! We are here for your educational event, your team event, or just plain old fun! We would love to talk with you about how you can incorporate face painting to enhance your guests' experience. Simply give us a call at 214-886-4243. We look forward to hearing from you! When you throw a party for your child, company or organization, one of your main goals will probably be to make sure your guests have a good time. Why else would you have a party, right? :) Sometimes, we know it's challenging to choose the party options that will fit your event and sometimes even harder to find the right company to send those bits of entertainment. It is with this in mind that we have built our team. When we bring a face painter onto our team, we watch them work. We want to make sure that they are a highly skilled artist, but equally important is their manner with each person they encounter. Here are a few of the traits that we look for: 1. Welcoming and Open: We expect our painters to welcome each child/person into their chair. This especially helps children, to know that they are going to sit with and get painted by someone who is happy that they are there. 2. Conversational: There will be moments during the face painting that are silent, but overall, we prefer painters who can talk and paint at the same time. Conversation during the painting process can help keep little ones calm during a new experience and also makes the experience more memorable to the person (adult or child) being painted. 3. Special: We paint every day...but we know the people in our chairs don't get painted every day. Our painters make every effort to help children and adults feel that they are of prime importance while they are being painted. Our painters listen to each person's painting request, give each choices (color, type of face, glitter) and do our best to make them happy about their painting and the overall experience. If you are hiring an entertainer, be sure that they are as personable as they are talented. Entertainers who genuinely enjoy people will make more than just a face painting...they will make a great memory! |
